What is thermal remediation?+

It is an in-situ method that heats soil and groundwater to mobilize contaminants, support extraction, and verify cleanup goals.

What is ERH?+

ERH means Electrical Resistance Heating. Current passes between subsurface electrodes and resistance generates heat in the treatment zone.

Which contaminants can be treated?+

The technology is evaluated for VOCs, CVOCs, BTEX, TPH, chlorobenzenes, vinyl chloride, and other volatile or semi-volatile compounds.

Can it be used below active buildings?+

Yes, with site-specific design, structural review, vapor control, electrical safety, and monitoring. Doxor has experience in occupied sites.

How deep can ERH go?+

It depends on geology, energy delivery, groundwater movement, drilling, and objectives. Doxor has documented heating with electrodes up to 31 m.

How long does it take?+
